A Happy New Year you all

With Christmas and the holidays behind us now, we are looking forward to a fresh start to the farming year. A super bunch of pullets arrived in early December and are now laying well. We purchased our usual 4 x 4 good layers, out in all weathers and 25 specials too. The remaining cattle are enjoying having the back yard to themselves although they do love to sleep out in the field!!

Bob is busy sorting out the yards and servicing the machinery ready for the coming years work, there seems to be always something to repair.

Christmas at the shop was a busy time with our Free Range Turkeys and all the Christmas fayre. Liz was busy icing the cakes, making mince pies and a huge selection of Christmas goodies. December brought us our push for our shop charity, Irish Reiriever Rescue. we had our "Guess my Name" (the reindeer) which was of course "Mr Jingeling" and Alice was our lucky customer to win the hamper worth £50. The Christmas tree Festival at All Saints Church was amazing, organised by Liz who made absolutely loads of salt dough decorations. Many of the customers made pretty decorations too and the fairy came from Canada hand made by my cousin Judy. Afterwards it came back to the shop to be our charity donation tree. So added to the IRR christmas cards and Rochedter the Bear we raised a whapping £380.79 during December. This makes a total of over £900.00 for IRR throughout the year.

So now we are looking forward to an exiting 2019 with lots of new events................will keep you posted although I won't leave it so long next time
